This policy explains how Waltham Forest Engineering Ltd ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information submitted through the contact form on railingslondon.uk. It covers our obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. Our services are described in full on the railingslondon.uk homepage.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if provided)
• The details of your enquiry
• The page you submitted from and basic referrer information, used to measure which content drives enquiries

We do not collect or store any other personal information through this site. We do not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

Why we use it

We use what you submit to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, and arrange site visits for our railings services. Our legal basis is legitimate interest — responding to a direct request you have initiated.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate this site:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the site and provides edge security. Cloudflare may briefly process technical request information (IP address, user agent) for security and performance.
• Lumara Forms (Lumara Digital) — receives the contact form submission and forwards it to our email inbox. Submissions are not stored long-term by Lumara Forms.

We do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing purposes other than direct follow-up to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept in our mailbox for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle the project or for follow-up service. We routinely delete or archive enquiries that have not led to a project after 24 months. Project-related correspondence is kept for the statutory record-keeping period required for our business records (typically 6 years).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate records
• Ask us to delete your information (where we are no longer required to keep it)
• Object to or restrict how we use your information
• Request a copy of what we hold in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The contact form sends a small, anonymous beacon to Lumara Forms when it is shown on the page, used only to count form views for analytics. No personally identifying information is included in this beacon.
